US State Department: US supports Syria until peace and stability are achieved

Washington, SANA – The US State Department reiterated its support for Syria and its government until peace and stability are achieved.

“Washington welcomes any productive meetings between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces aimed at integrating the latter into the Syrian military,” State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said at a press conference, stressing that an “inclusive and integrated government is the best way to achieve stability in Syria”.

Bruce stressed the United States’ readiness to cooperate on the continued implementation of the ceasefire in Sweida.

Bruce noted that US Special Envoy to Syria Tom Barrack is “engaged with all Syrian parties” and says that “diplomacy is the best option for resolving the problems in Syria”.
