Homs, SANA- Norwegian People Aids Organization (NPA) in cooperation with local authorities have exerted efforts to remove the war remnants from the industrial zone in Qusayr city as a part of rehabilitating it and resuming the economic activity there.
In a statement to a SANA, Minor of Qusayr Municipal Council, Eng. Tariq Hasweh, said that industrial zone is one of the most vital sites that suffered damage due to Israeli occupation aggression since it has been used by Hezbollah militia as an ammunition depot, which caused widespread destruction of its infrastructure.
For his part, the organization technical field director, eng. Sinwar Rashid, said that Qusayr is on top of NPA priorities work due to unexploded ordnance (UXO) widely scattered throughout the neighborhoods and roads.
The organization also carried out community campaign to educate residents about the dangers of war remnants through distributing awareness leaflets.
