Indonesia supports Syria in overcoming current challenges

Jakarta, SANA – Director of the Afro-Asian and Oceanian Affairs Department at the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Zakaria Lababidi, met on Thursday with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Islamic World Affairs Muhammad Anis Matta.

Lababidi expressed, during the meeting, his appreciation for Indonesia’s experience in achieving national harmony. He also reviewed the Syrian government’s efforts in building a unified and stable state focused on reconstruction and restoring its role within its Arab, Islamic, and international environment.

Matta affirmed his country’s readiness to support Syria in overcoming current challenges, emphasizing the importance of forming a joint committee for consultations between the two countries.
