Turkish Energy Minister: We are intensifying our efforts to restore normal life to Syria

Ankara, SANA – Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar reiterated that his country is intensifying its efforts to restore normal life to Syria.

During a TV interview, Bayraktar pointed out to the Azerbaijani gas pipeline to Syria via Turkish territory, explaining that the daily flow of gas through this pipeline will be 3.4 million cubic meters in the first phase of the project, with the possibility of increasing this amount to 6 million cubic meters in a later phase, in light of the pipeline’s capacity.

He highlighted the importance of establishing an energy infrastructure in the region to enable people continue their daily lives, indicating that a Turkish technical team has been sent to Syria to work on rehabilitating the country’s energy infrastructure in the short, medium and long terms.
