Damascus, SANA- In cooperation with Tima Charitable Foundation for Development, Humanitarian Tracker Forum launched “Global Action Mosaic” platform to promote sustainable development goals in Syria.
The platform launch was in the presence of Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister, Dr. Marwan al-Halabi, at Digital Innovation Center (DIGIT) in Kafr Sousa, Damascus.
The platform aims at employing public participation and artificial intelligence for the public good, as it enables citizens to report humanitarian crises and human rights violations using technology, verifies information from various sources, works toward achieving sustainable development goals and provides data to other organizations, journalists, and government agencies such as United Nations, USAID, and U.S. Department of State.
Minister al-Halabi underlined the importance of this platform in leveraging of intellectual and research energies in artificial intelligence fields for social benefit.
He highlighted the importance of establishing partnerships and exchanging expertise between creative minds, which will be the cornerstone of initiatives that make a real difference in people’s lives.
In turn, Rima Absi, Vice Chair of Tima Charitable Foundation Board, said the foundation aims at activating and motivating the role of Syrian youth and helping them.
