Lattakia, SANA – Lattakia City Council, in cooperation with al-Nasaiha Charitable Association, launched a solar power energy project to illuminate the Yemen Square roundabout and its adjacent bridge, a major traffic junction and one of the city’s vital entrances.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Ali Assi, head of the administrative units, highlighted the importance of the site, noting that the work took only one week, after technical requirements were completed in advance to ensure rapid completion.
Assi added that lighting has become a basic requirement for enhancing safety, not just a luxury. He indicated that requests to light other neighborhoods within the city are being processed within available resources.
Residents of Lattakia expressed their satisfaction with this step, which has added an aesthetic dimension to the area.
