Amman, SANA-Foreign and Expatriates Minister Asaad al-Shaibani met Tuesday with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi, and US Special Envoy for Syria Thomas Barrack, in the Jordanian capital, Amman, Syrian foreign Ministry said.
The Ministry said in a statement that “Talks during the meeting focused on ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the three parties to support Syria’s sovereignty and security stability.”
The officials “agreed to form a Syrian-Jordanian-American working group to support the Syrian government’s efforts to consolidate the ceasefire in Sweida Governorate and work to find a comprehensive solution to the crisis” the Ministry added.
The meeting “welcomed the Syrian government’s efforts in the humanitarian field with regard to restoring basic services, holding perpetrators of violations accountable, and creating conditions for the displaced persons to return to their homes” it said.
