Sweida Governor: Plan to rehabilitate 51 villages in the province

Sweida,SANA-Dr. Mustafa al-Bakkour, Governor of Sweida, affirmed that the governorate is maintaining coordination with the relevant authorities to rehabilitate villages in the western countryside of Sweida, extending to the administrative border with Daraa. This includes 34 villages, where essential services will be provided, paving the way for residents to return to their homes.

The Governor said that efforts are underway in coordination with the relevant authorities to rehabilitate more than 17 villages and towns in the eastern countryside of Sweida. These areas suffer from a lack of drinking water, electricity, medical services, and schools due to battles and acts of sabotage, as well as the looting of property and destruction of homes by militias of the former regime. The plan aims to enable the return of 50,000 people to the region.
