Al-Momani: Jordan–Syria Relations “Very Good” with Expanding Cooperation

Amman/ SANA-Jordanian government spokesman Mohammad al-Momani reaffirmed his country’s unwavering support for Syria’s unity, sovereignty, and stability, describing bilateral relations as “very good” in a statement to Al-Mamlaka TV.

Al-Momani said that humanitarian aid sent by Jordan to Sweida Governorate was coordinated with Syrian government authorities. He highlighted the growing cooperation between the two countries in the sectors of energy, trade, transport, and water, as well as the notable increase in transit traffic.

The spokesman noted that recent tripartite meetings between Syria, Jordan, and the United States underscored the importance of Syria’s unity, reconstruction, and stability—particularly in the south. He renewed Jordan’s condemnation of Israeli intervention in Syria, calling it a violation of sovereignty, and pointed to a significant decline in smuggling activities through border crossings.

Al-Momani stressed Jordan’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Syria across various sectors to bolster the security and stability of both nations and safeguard the lives of Syrians.
