Syria, Saudi Arabia discuss Investment Development and Industrial Cooperation

Riyadh, SANA- Minister of Economy and Industry, Mohammad Nidal Al-Shaar, discussed on Monday with Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef means of enhancing bilateral cooperation and developing investments in the industrial sector between Syria and Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, held at the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Minister Al-Shaar described as deep and strong the relations between the two countries and the importance of developing economic cooperation, particularly in the fields of industry and mining to serve the interests of Syria and Saudi Arabia.

The two sides highlighted the importance of developing joint investments and exchanging industrial expertise, meanwhile, Minister Al-Shaar expressed Syria’s desire to benefit from the advanced industrial experience in the Kingdom, especially in light of the reconstruction phase, and the need to activate the role of the Saudi private sector during this phase.

They also discussed ways to activate joint technical work groups to enhance industrial integration processes and the importance of the industrial sector’s role in supporting sustainable economic development in Syria.
