Outlaw Groups exploit humanitarian crisis: Interior Ministry responds to allegations of Sweida Siege

Damascus, SANA- Interior Ministry spokesman, Noureddine al-Baba, said that Allegations of a Syrian government siege of Sweida province are complete misinformation.

He stressed the government has opened humanitarian corridors to deliver aid, in cooperation with local and international humanitarian organizations, and to facilitate exit of those willing to leave areas under outlawed groups control.

The spokesman added “These Allegations were fabricated to facilitate opening of irregular crossings with Sweida, both inside and outside the country, to smuggle arms and captagon”.

He went on saying “The return of institutions to their work in imposing the authority of law in Sweida Governorate threatens the presence of outlaw groups there, therefore they exploit the humanitarian crisis in Sweida, and exacerbate the civilians suffering”.
