Syrian Interior Ministry, Pakistani officials discuss enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise

Damascus, SANA- A delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Interior, headed by Deputy Interior Minister for Civil Affairs Ziad al-Ayesh, and accompanied by several officials from General Intelligence Service, paid an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which lasted several days.

The visit included a series of meetings with a number of Pakistani officials from various relevant institutions, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries and exchanging expertise in security and police fields, in a way that serves common interests and enhances national and regional stability.

The Ministry’s delegation was briefed on the working mechanisms of Pakistan’s National Investigation Agency (NIA), its expertise in combating terrorism and organized crime, and discussed ways to enhance cooperation and exchange of information between the two sides.
