Amman, SANA- King Abdullah II of Jordan affirmed Tuesday his country’s support for the brotherly State of Syria and its efforts to preserve security, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Jordanian News Agency reported that King Abdullah met separately with Syrian Foreign Minister, Asaad Hassan al-Shibani, and US Special Envoy for Syria, Ambassador Thomas Barrack to discuss the latest developments in the country.
King Abdallah II stressed Jordan’s readiness to provide expertise in all fields to contribute to developing the work of institutions in Syria and enhancing its capabilities, pointing out the need to intensify cooperation, particularly in combating terrorism and preventing arms and drug smuggling.
The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan hosted a joint Jordanian-Syrian-US meeting today to discuss the situation in Syria and ways to support the process of rebuilding it on foundations that guarantee its security, stability, sovereignty, unity and non-interference in its affairs.
