Tartous, SANA – A cargo ship loaded with 6,600 tons of soft wheat began unloading Sunday at Tartous Port to help meet local market needs.
Youssef Arnous, Director of Operations and Investment at Tartous Port, said this shipment is the thirteenth wheat vessel to arrive at the port since the fall of the exposed regime, bringing the total quantity received so far to about 136,000 tons.
He noted that this step is part of ongoing efforts to secure basic commodities for citizens, carried out in full coordination among the concerned authorities to ensure timely delivery of wheat to mills and distribution centers.
