Damascus, SANA – Syrian Finance Minister Muhammad Yusr Barniyeh declared that the Syria’s next budget will prioritize expenditure on education.
“Around 2.4 million children are not attending school, and over 7,200 institutions require renovations and repairs”, Barniyeh said. He underscored how important the health and education sectors are to the Syrian government.
According to Barniyeh, the new tax system allows the business sector to employ exemptions for social responsibility, with a particular emphasis on the education sector. He mentioned that more efforts to raise the standard of education, particularly in the areas of technical education and smart schools, will soon be introduced.
He clarified that education, technological education, and the enhancement of the entire educational system—including the environment, infrastructure, curricula, and contemporary educational technologies—are all important to Syria’s future.
